  Via email, we have cordially invited a select group of business and community representatives to attend the Pennsylvania Hispanic Business Legislative Luncheon. Invitees who RSVP will receive the full event location details in their confirmation email prior to the event date. This annual gathering brings together business owners, community leaders, and legislators for meaningful dialogue on the issues that matter most to Hispanic businesses and our communities. Representatives from the PA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Office of the Small Business Advocate will be featured speakers, alongside other invited state leaders.   • ️ Marketplace – shop and connect with local Latine-owned vendors (3–7 PM).

  • Food & Drinks – savor tacos from El Sabor, desserts by Panadería Jazmín, and craft beverages from Trace Brewing (with $1 per drink donated to Ascender).

  • Live Music & Entertainment – enjoy DJ Bamboo, dancing, and networking throughout the evening.

  Join us to network and celebrate Dia de los Muertos at the Ofrenda Happy Hour hosted in partnership with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust! This a vibrant and cultural celebration is part of a week-long series of events honoring Dia de los Muertos by the Cultural Trust. Learn more about the other festivities here.

  Event Highlights:

  • Interactive Ofrenda:

    Our interactive ofrenda is a collaborative artwork guided by PMAHCC Small Business Members, Alison Zapata and Lisa DiGioia-Nutini (owner of Mexico Lindo). In the tradition of Día de los Muertos, the altar welcomes the spirits of our loved ones with color, fragrance, and light. Each element carries meaning: marigolds (cempasúchil) to guide the way, papel picado for the breath of wind, candles for light, water and salt for refreshment and purity, and pan de muerto and sugar skulls as offerings of care and remembrance.

    This is a community altar—built by many hands and many stories. You’re invited to place a photo or small item, write a name or message, and spend a moment at the altar in reflection and gratitude.

  • Live DJ & Music: Enjoy lively beats from PMAHCC Small Business Member, DJ Matteo throughout the evening that bring traditional sounds to the celebration.

  • Taco Bar: Treat yourself to a festive taco bar with flavorful fillings, toppings, and salsas.

  • Themed Cocktails: Sip on cocktails inspired by Mexican and Latin flavors while enjoying a vibrant atmosphere.

  • Makeup de Muertos: Get your festive makeup look by Beanie Paints (complimentary for guests, first come first serve).

  • Gem Bar: Already glammed or freshly painted, finish your look with statement shine: hand-placed, shimmering face gems.

  Festive Attire and Makeup are Encouraged but NOT REQUIRED
