Two celebrations. One unforgettable night.
FIRST, AT 5 PM: THE VIVA GRANT RECIPIENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Join us as we open the evening at 5 PM by announcing the recipients of the VIVA Grants during a special ceremony at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.
The Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce & Foundation will award $130,000 in VIVA Grants to 39 Hispanic-owned small businesses from across Southwestern Pennsylvania, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). The program drew 161 applications and nearly $1.4 million in requests. Tonight, those businesses take the stage, and our awardees will be photographed with their ceremonial checks.
Then the celebration continues with Intermission, an artful networking series at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.
NETWORKING, MUSIC & CULTURE
Connect with entrepreneurs, professionals, business leaders, and community changemakers while enjoying artful networking, live music with sounds by Selecta, a gallery tour, and bites and beverages. A cash bar will be available.
PARTY AT THE POLLS
This special edition of Intermission is presented by the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh in partnership with Party at the Polls. As part of the Urban League's Reclaim Your Vote initiative, get informed, make your voting plan, and connect with resources ahead of Election Day.
