Have you always been intrigued by the prospect of selling your products and services to the federal government but were intimidated by the idea of competing on a federal solicitation because you simply didn’t know where to start? Then this class is for you!


The conversation will take place LIVE on our Facebook Page at 12pm on November 10, 2021. It will be followed by a Q&A Session. The video may be viewed following the event.


During this session, SBA Business Opportunity Specialist and procurement expert, David Pinkosky, will demystify the federal bidding process. Dave will teach you how to respond to federal contracting opportunities in an easy-to-understand format while covering the following topics:


  • Understanding RFPs, RFQs, and other common federal contracting vehicles
  • Important Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Clauses
  • Where to find solicitations
  • How to bid on a solicitation
  • Importance of past performance
  • Where to get free one-on-one proposal development assistance



From managing a small city at age 22, to becoming a certified procurement professional, Dave Pinkosky has transitioned his business acumen to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Western Pennsylvania District Office as a business opportunity specialist. In his 16-year career with the City of Connellsville and the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission, Dave assisted over 700 clients receive more than $900 million in government contracts. Now, he’s crisscrossing our 27-county footprint helping entrepreneurs and small business owners increase their revenues and cash flow through SBA’s numerous federal contracting opportunities.
